Drawing from life

This page from a storyboard I did today is probably the first time I’ve ever included any real life experiences in the cartoon. Sort of.
I’ve been going through depression and panic for a few straight years now, and I’ve always been told that when I go into a panic attack, just rationally think the situation through and tell myself that whatever’s got me panicking is not going to happen. It never works though, because I know it’s not necesarily true.
The mind is a terrible thing to think about.

Geoweasel's next top models

Originally, I wasn't going to reuse models for the new Geoweasel episodes, which is what I've been doing since "Okay, Do Overs." But I mulled it over for a long time and eventually decided on drawing up some new ones. They won't be used as extensively as they were in the past, but it will help speed things a lot, even if only a little. But take a look at the past models versus the new ones. My, how they've grown! Literally!

Goals for 2009

1) First and foremost (not to mention the most obvious), make more cartoons. 2007 and 2008 were utterly pathetic production-wise.

2) Submit a cartoon (or more) to Channel Frederator.

3) Take part in a film/animation festival.

4) Enter an animation/cartoon contest (like the ones held on Aniboom or Mytoons).

5) Go to more actual screenings, parties, events, etc.

6) Animate a short film that stands on its own (something aside from Geoweasel).

7) Finally get the first Geoweasel DVD out (I just remembered I need to get Nero back though).
